Biography

Ashley Lynn Marshall joined the Campbell Law School faculty in August 2026. After a decade practicing law in both the private and public sector, she now serves as the Interim Director of the Externship Program where students gain practical real-world legal experience over the course of a semester under the supervision of a judge or practicing attorney. Marshall also teaches Pre-Trial Litigation and Civil Procedures.

Prior to Campbell Law, Marshall was an Assistant Professor at Quinnipiac University where she taught introductory and upper-level courses in the legal studies program. Before she was a professor, Marshall was the Legal Director for the Energy Bureau in the CT Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) where she litigated utility rate cases and advised on matters related to energy affordability, energy efficiency, and utility regulation. She also previously practiced labor and employment law as an associate at Shipman & Goodwin, LLP. In that role, she primarily represented employers in employment discrimination claims in state and federal court.

Ashley Marshall earned her J.D. (2015) honors, from UConn Law and her B.A. (2012), summa cum laude, from Howard University.
