Shawn A. Carrillo

Biography

Mrs. Carrillo joined Campbell University’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences (CPHS) in May 2017 as the Assistant Director of Experiential Education and has served as the Director since her promotion in January 2019. She is proud to be part of the CPHS Office of Experiential Education and values the opportunity to support student pharmacists, colleagues, and the broader Campbell community.

Shawn is a first-generation college student and holds a B.S. in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Before joining Campbell University, she built a diverse professional background in human resources and office administration while supporting her husband’s military career.

Military service has been an important part of her family’s story. As the daughter of a 30-year service member and the spouse of an Army Pharmacist who served 26 years, Shawn has experienced firsthand the unique opportunities and challenges of military life and the many communities it brings together.
