Biography

Prof. John DeStefano teaches Wills & Trusts, Estate Planning & Drafting, and Federal Income Tax. His current research explores the political economy of trusts and estates.

In addition, he advises high-net-worth families with respect to their legacy planning as Of Counsel with Baker & Hostetler LLP (Washington, DC). John began practicing law in the private client services department at Proskauer Rose LLP. Prior to attending law school, John worked as a private equity analyst and lectured undergraduate business finance.

John attended the University of Florida and received a B.S. in finance, M.S. in finance, J.D. with certificate in estate planning, and LL.M. in taxation.
