Biography

Dr. Amy M. Johnson attended Campbell University for her undergraduate studies to earn a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She then earned her Master’s in Counseling at Campbell University. Dr. Johnson graduated from the same Counseling Education Program that she now serves as an Adjunct Professor. She considers it an honor to return to teach in the same amazing program of the School of Education and Human Sciences. She also serves as a site supervisor for clinical counseling field experience on Campbell University’s campus in Counseling Services. Dr. Johnson started in Counseling Services as a Graduate Assistant and has worked hard resulting in several promotions and now serves as the Director of Counseling Services. Dr. Johnson is a fully licensed mental health therapist and a licensed clinical supervisor for the State of North Carolina, and she is also a Nationally Certified Counselor. She earned her Doctorate of Education in Christian Counseling from Southeastern Theological Baptist Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.

Dr. Johnson is a contract therapist and field placement supervisor at Southern Wake Counseling Center in Fuquay Varina, NC. She is the President of Kiwanis of Lillington, the Immediate Past President and Secretary for the Parent Teacher Organization for Coats Elementary School, and an Executive Board Member of the Coats Area Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Johnson enjoys serving as the Faculty Advisor for CKI, the world’s largest student-led collegiate service organization, at Campbell University
