Charissa English

Biography

Ms. English joined the Department of Physical Therapy in 2022 with a background in sales, public relations, social media marketing, and community building. English has worked in event planning and team building roles in higher education, public education, church, and corporate settings. She spent 10 years running a business from her home, developing a team of consultants and presenting at the national level. As a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX (a school similar in size, scope and mission to Campbell) English values the unique benefits of a private university setting. A long time resident of Harnett county, she also understands the challenges of promoting higher education in a rural community.

Currently, she creates and curates the content for DPT’s social media platforms. She is responsible for photography, captioning, interviewing, video editing, graphic design, and campaign creation that involves students, faculty, alumni, and admissions. Additionally, she organizes and supplies the physical therapy labs, and is available to assist students, faculty, and community members during the weekly Community Wellness Clinic.

English is also a member of the University MarComm Council, the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences Social Media Team, and the Faculty Staff Development Committee.
