Biography
Guy is the Global Engagement International Coordinator. He is tasked with assisting Campbell in her globalization efforts by assisting present students in engaging the world, but also by developing opportunities for foreign nationals to experience Campbell, as students or short-term visitors.
Mr. Armstrong holds a B.S from the University of Montana in Health and Physical Education and a Master of Divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. He also holds a certification from Multi-Health Systems in emotional intelligence analysis and coaching.
Before coming to Campbell, Mr. Armstrong was extensively involved in developing tomorrow’s leaders around the globe. He worked as a regional director of an international non-profit where he travelled and worked in over 30 countries. In 2012, he founded a cross-cultural leadership development company, Ascend International, where he developed avenues for hundreds of American professionals to participate in “voluntourism” trips, primarily to China and India. He also developed U.S based leadership development programs for Chinese collegians to travel to the U.S for short-term equipping experiences.
Guy believes international experiences change us, for the better. He is eager to build international opportunities that will bring growth to our students and students around the world.
Personally, Guy is a strong advocate for health and wellness. If not at Campbell, you can often find him in a gym, on a mountain bike or taking a therapeutic walk.
