Mary A. Weiss

Biography

Mary Weiss is joining the department after 30 years of coaching Lady Camels Women’s Basketball and serving 12 years as the associate head coach. “The loyalty and dedication Mary has shown to this university and to our women’s basketball program is often unheard of in this day and time,” said former head coach Wanda Watkins. “Her longevity at Campbell as well as her service has given us consistency in our staff and has permeated the idea of being dedicated to our purpose.” Coach Weiss graduated from Chowan in 1983 with an associate degree in physical education. She then earned her B.S. in physical education at Campbell in 1985 and in 1987 obtained her master’s degree at Campbell. Coach Weiss will coordinate the department’s Physical Education Program and teach courses in the sport coaching major.
