Biography

Dr. Allison Lee finished her PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Brigham Young University in December 2019. Her doctoral dissertation, “An Experimental and Theoretical Investigation of Internal Wave Kinetic Energy Density in Variable Stratifications,” focused on experiments with stratified fluids. While completing her doctoral work, Dr. Lee worked with many undergraduate researchers to complete experiments and analyze data. She also taught three undergraduate courses, two of which were sponsored by the Graduate Teaching Fellowship from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

At the Campbell University School of Engineering, Dr. Lee will use her background in Fluid Dynamics to teach courses such as Fluids, Thermodynamics, and Jet Engines, among others. She is also currently building a small undergraduate research lab that will continue Stratified Fluid research. As an avid sports fan, Dr. Lee is excited to cheer on Campbell Athletics, especially football and softball.
