Biography

Dr. Beth Mills received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree with honors from Campbell University School of Pharmacy in 1998. Following graduation, she completed an ASHP accredited primary care pharmacy practice residency with a focus in diabetes with Campbell University School of Pharmacy and Wilson Community Health Center in Wilson, NC. Throughout her career, Dr. Mills has served in leadership roles on retail, community and health-system teams. She joined Campbell University in 2013 as Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner for Benson Health. During this time, Dr. Mills provided disease state management and education to adolescents and adults and served as preceptor for pharmacy students completing ambulatory care APPE rotations.

Currently, Dr. Mills is the Chair of Pharmacy Practice and an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Campbell University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. She serves on the Executive Committee and Pharmacy Leadership Council. Dr. Mills also serves as a faculty advisor for APhA-ASP, Phi Lambda Sigma, and NCAP. Her research interests include treatment and prevention of chronic disease through lifestyle and behavior change, diabetes, obesity, innovative teaching methodologies, and student mentoring. Dr. Mills is an active member of the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists, the American Pharmacists Association, and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.
