Dr. Christopher R. Dennis
Biography
Dr. Dennis graduated from Campbell University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with his Doctor of Pharmacy in 2008. He completed his PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Vidant Health (formerly Pitt County Memorial Hospital) in Greenville, NC. Since then he has attained his Certificate of Advanced Study in Health Informatics from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master of Management in Clinical Informatics from Duke University. Additionally, he has attained the Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems credentials.
He currently works on the Pharmacy Applications team in the Information Services Division at Vidant Health as a Pharmacist IS Specialist and is Adjunct Assistant Professor of Health Informatics at Campbell University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
In addition to his role as a course instructor at Campbell University, Dr. Dennis also precepts students and residents in health informatics at his primary practice location at Vidant Health.
Dr. Dennis has given several presentations in the area of pharmacoinformatics over the past several years. One of the most notable of his recent presentations was for the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy District III meeting in August 2018.
