Biography

Dr. Buzzell serves as Co-Director of Clinical Education and Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. She is an APTA Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Brown University in 2010, her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Duke University in 2014, and is currently completing her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health Administration and Education at William Carey University.

Dr. Buzzell has completed three American Board of Physical Therapy Residency & Fellowship Education programs, including an Orthopaedic Residency at Duke Health in 2015, Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship at Duke Health in 2017, and Faculty Development Residency at Duke University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2022. She additionally co-directed the Duke Health Orthopaedic Residency from 2018-2021. Dr. Buzzell’s current research interests include the development and assessment of clinical reasoning in the classroom and clinic.
