Biography

Dr. Emily Bailey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health in the College of Pharmacy and Health Science at Campbell University. Dr. Bailey completed her PhD in environmental science and engineering at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the Gillings School of Global Public Health and then spent 2 years as a postdoctoral research associate at the Duke Global Health Institute and School of Medicine. Dr. Bailey started her career at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center and recently joined Campbell University as a member of the public health faculty with interests in in emerging infectious disease, zoonotic disease, and viral pathogens. She has considerable laboratory experience, specifically in microbiology and molecular diagnostics and teaches courses in Environmental Health and Public Health Policy.
