Biography

LTC Durrant, a native of Albany, Oregon, was commissioned in 1999 as a Field Artillery officer from the Oregon State University ROTC program. In the past 17 years, he has served in a variety of tactical and operational assignments. His first assignment was at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma (1999-2005), where he served as a platoon leader, battery executive officer and battalion staff officer. After completion of the Field Artillery Captains Career Course in 2005, LTC Durrant PCS’d to Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, where he served for eleven years. While on Ft. Bragg, he served as a battery commander, and an operations officer on staffs at nearly every level from battalion, brigade, division, corps, and theater commands. LTC Durrant has deployed five times to: Iraq (2003, 2005-06, 2011), Afghanistan (2008), and most recently to Jordan in 2015-16. He has attended and graduated from Officer Professional Military Education courses to include the Field Artillery Officer Basic and Advance Courses, as well as Intermediate Level Education. His civilian education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in History (Cum Laude), 1999, Oregon State University and a Masters of Business Administration (Cum Laude), 2010, Campbell University.
