Gene C Pursifull

Biography

Gene Pursifull serves as an Adjunct faculty member at Campbell University’s Lundy-Fetterman School of Business. His areas of interest include forensic accounting, cost accounting, and auditing.

He retired from the U.S. Army with almost 30 years of military service in 2022 and continued his professional career in public accounting as an audit manager. He is now the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Financial Lead at Trace Systems, Inc. , a large DoW contractor, where he manages the financials on various governmental contracts to ensure proper reporting and oversight.

Gene is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Enrolled Agent (EA), and Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM). He completed his B.A in Business Management and his Master of Accounting at North Carolina State University.
