Biography

Mac Wallace teaches Pastoral Care, Pastoral Counseling, and Marriage and Family Counseling courses at the Divinity School.

He is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, an Approved Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and a supervisor of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). He did clinical training with the NC Baptist Hospital Department of Pastoral Care in Winston Salem, NC and served on the faculty there for 22 years. In 1991 he moved to Wilmington to open a CareNet Counseling Center until his retirement from the hospital in 1998.

He and his wife, Dr. Emma Wallace, who is also a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, have a private practice, and they provide AAMFT Supervision for licensure candidates. Mac and Emma have four adult children and five grandchildren. Mac’s hobbies include grandparenting, fishing, billiards, woodworking, and Duke Basketball.
