Jonathan Overton

Biography

Jonathan’s work in higher education began in community college when he worked as an academic tutor for students in English and Humanities courses and continued throughout his academic journey in the departments of student life, student activities, orientation, and residence life.

Jonathan received two associate degrees from Nash Community College before transferring and receiving both his Bachelor of Science and Maser of Science in Psychology from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. While attending Regent, Jonathan’s passion for student development blossomed and led him to continue this work at Campbell.

As the Area Coordinator for Residence Life, Jonathan is responsible for staff supervision and development, residential education, community development and support, residential conduct, and other management as a department representative. His work plays a vital role in the daily operations, assessing students’ needs and assisting appropriately, and supporting the student Community Assistant staff.

Jonathan likes to spend his free time listening to music, collecting vinyl records, attending concerts, and talking about movies, TV shows, and pop culture with others.
