Biography

Joy is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is an alumnus of Drexel University.
Before joining Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine (CUSOM), Joy worked at Drexel University College of Medicine as a Standardized Patient (SP) Trainer and Academic Coordinator for the Department of Clinical Skills. While in this position, she enjoyed running the Clinical Education and Assessment Center (CEAC) lab and working with her SP family. She also enjoyed observing the growth of the first-year medical students through their SP encounters in the CEAC facility. Joy was then promoted to Coordinator of Admissions and Recruitment for the Office of Professional Studies in the Health Sciences, where she supervised the admissions process for the post baccalaureate and professional graduate programs. As the main recruiter for the department, she traveled throughout the United States to meet students at graduate and professional fairs and was able to increase the recruitment territory by 40%.
Joy served as CUSOM’s founding Director of Admissions and is pleased to take on new challenges in her position as Director of Postbaccalaurate Programs.
