Biography
Kelly Cline is an Assistant Professor, teaching Business Organizations, Business Planning and Corporate Finance. Prior to joining Campbell Law, she was an associate in the New York office of Chapman and Cutler LLP, where she was a member of the commercial lending and mergers and acquisitions teams. As the sole attorney in a family of nurses and engineers, her practice naturally focused on financing companies in the life sciences industry. Kelly has also served as in-house counsel. Directly after law school, she worked in the legal department of JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York.
Cline earned her B.A. in Political Science from North Carolina State University, graduating valedictorian. She was a Chancellors’ Scholar at the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she received her J.D. with high honors. While at the University of North Carolina School of Law, Kelly was the Managing Editor of the North Carolina Banking Institute Journal.
Although Kelly began her legal career in New York, she began life in Eastern North Carolina in a small town called Bath. Kelly now lives in Clayton with her husband, PJ, and their dogs Dublin and Patsy Cline. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, spending time with family and friends and taking walks with her husband and the dogs. PJ and Kelly attend the Summit Church.
