Biography
Kelly Morin serves as the Assistant Dean of Adult & Online Education at Campbell University, where she leads the Second Chance Initiative, an academic program dedicated to providing high-quality, in-person/synchronous online college education to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals across North Carolina. A passionate advocate for educational equity and second chances, she works to create pathways to degrees that foster personal transformation, community reintegration, and long-term success for justice-impacted students.
Morin’s leadership exemplifies Campbell University’s mission to graduate students with exemplary academic and professional skills who are prepared for purposeful lives of meaningful service. Her work bridges higher education and criminal justice, advancing Campbell’s commitment to faith-informed, student-centered learning that meets people where they are (literally and figuratively) and helps them grow into who they are called to be.
She also serves as Chair of the North Carolina Prison Education Consortium, a statewide network committed to expanding access to quality higher education in correctional settings. In addition, Morin is a member of the State Education and Workforce Advisory Collaborative, a national coalition initiative dedicated to advancing inclusive and equitable educational and career pathways for justice-impacted individuals across the country.
She holds a Master of Higher Education Administration degree and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development at North Carolina State University. Her research and practice focus on adult learning, prison education program design, and postsecondary access for underserved populations.
