Biography

Kent Foss is a Durham, North Carolina-based professional trumpet player who frequently performs with the North Carolina Symphony, North Carolina Opera and Carolina Ballet. Kent has performed as a trumpet soloist throughout North America and Europe, most recently at Beethoven-Haus in Bonn, Germany in collaboration with Richard McKee, Associate Professor of Piano at Campbell University. Kent Foss serves as Adjunct Professor of Music at Campbell University where he teaches applied trumpet, directs the brass chamber music program, and teaches in the music education degree program. He earned his Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from Arizona State University and his most recent scholarly activities have been published in the Journal of the International Trumpet Guild.
