Biography
Dr. Larsen’s research interests lie in the area of freshwater and estuarine ecosystems, zooplankton community ecology, aquatic macroinvertebrates and freshwater/coastal fish communities, the effects of agricultural runoff and turbidity on aquatic ecosystems, and other water quality management issues. Dr. Larsen teaches a variety of environmental science courses including Introduction to Environmental Science I & II, Environmental Toxicology, Aquatic Ecology, and special topics in tropical ecology.
Dr. Larsen also serves as the Coordinator of the Environmental Science (ENVS) Program, including the B.S. in ENVS and the ENVS minor. He is also the co-advisor of the Walker Biology Club and co-advisor of Campbell University Student Veterans (CUSV) Club.
