Biography

Greetings! I am LaKresha Brown-Harris, an Adjunct Instructor of Sociology at Campbell University. I count it a privilege to be able to serve and pour into our students, helping to enlighten their sociological imagination. I completed my undergraduate degree at Fayetteville State University, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. I went on to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where I completed a Master of Arts in Sociology, a concentration in Criminology; I also completed a Post-Baccalaureate in Teaching Sociology. While completing my first Master’s degree, I felt a call to ministry. It was then that I went on to Campbell University Divinity School, where I received a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry. Along with being a criminologist, sociologist, and minister of the gospel, I am also a licensed special educator.

It is my mission, as an educator, to foster intellectual growth in my students by instilling in them a passion for learning as they pursue truth, goodness, and beauty in my classroom. Thank you for reading my profile and if you would like to connect with me, please email me at LBROWN@campbell.edu. Thank you!
