Biography

Lauren Hatfield is the coordinator for the anatomy lab, as well as the Anatomical Gifts program. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences (emphasis in microbial, molecular, and cellular biology) from California State University, Stanislaus. During her undergraduate experience, she also acted as president of the collegiate Red Cross organization.

Ms. Hatfield joins Campbell University with experience in hazard analysis, quality assurance, and research. Her work includes clinical and industrial research, including novel diagnostic techniques for small fiber neuropathy and genomic editing of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (Brewer’s yeast).

Lauren is passionate about the accessibility of education and healthcare, as well as climate and animal welfare. When not in the lab, she enjoys reading, baking, and exploring new places with her husband.
