Biography

Mallory Underwood joined Campbell Law School as the Director of Career Services and Professional Development in January 2022. In her role she helps match law students and recent graduates with employers for internships and jobs.

Prior to joining Campbell Law, Underwood was a partner at Teague Campbell, where she practiced for more than a decade. There her practice included workers compensation, insurance coverage, automobile negligence, premise liability and employment law. While at Teague Campbell, she served on the firm’s hiring committee and was active in the firm’s student summer internship program.

Following her time in private practice, Underwood spent approximately five years mediating a variety of civil and worker’s compensation cases as a North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission certified mediator. Most recently, she has specialized in strategic communications for Metro Productions.

She graduated cum laude from University of South Carolina in 1992 and earned her JD from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1995. While in law school, she served on the Moot Court Board, earned a spot as a finalist on the Tulane Sports Law Moot Court Team and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers.

Active in the community, Underwood’s volunteer experience includes serving as the chair of the board of directors for Magellan Charter School, past vice president of fundraising for Magellan Partners in Education and past chair of the board of trustees for the First Baptist Church of Raleigh.
