Martha Bizzell is a Student Success Specialist at the Campbell University School of Engineering.
Martha has experience as an engineer, K-12 math/science educator, homeschool parent, museum director and director of engineering summer camps.
She taught K-5 science at Douglas Creative Arts & Sciences Magnet Elementary School in Raleigh and middle grades math/science at Wilson Preparatory Academy and Greenfield School in Wilson, North Carolina.
In addition to teaching, Martha coached Envirothon Environmental Science teams for 14 years – many placing 1st in regional and state competitions. She was named NC Envirothon Coach of the year in 2007 and earned her NC Environmental Educator’s Certification in 2017. She was a Golden LEAF mentor for college students partnering with the Center for Creative Leadership. She also served on the Wilson 4-H Advisory Board and as a certified Alpine Low Ropes Facilitator. Prior to her work in K-12 education and outreach, Martha was an Industrial Engineer with Merck Pharmaceuticals in Wilson, North Carolina.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Master of Arts in Teaching from North Carolina State University.
