Biography

Meghan Brown is a social worker and military veteran with experience in budget management, program administration, and community engagement. She currently works as the Budget Analyst and Program Manager for the Second Chance Initiative, where she oversees financial development, strategic planning, and organizational operations. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor, combining her professional experience with a passion for teaching, student success, and expanding access to higher education.

Meghan earned her Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University, with a concentration in Administration, Policy, and Practice. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Norwich University. Her professional experience includes program evaluation, grant research and development, and macro social work practice focused on organizational effectiveness, community impact, and systems-level change.

Prior to entering the financial sector, Meghan served for four years as an Officer in the United States Army. Her assignments included serving as an Intelligence Officer and Public Affairs Officer with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and as an Executive Officer in Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
