Miguel A. Hernandez

Biography

Miguel Hernandez joined Campbell Law School as Assistant Dean of Admissions on Sept. 19, 2022. Hernandez is the first Hispanic dean to lead the school’s admissions and financial aid department.

In his role, Hernandez oversees the law school’s admissions process in its entirety, from prospective student interaction to application review and selection to financial aid, matriculation and orientation. He also represents Campbell Law at various community and professional recruitment events throughout the U.S. Prior to joining Campbell Law, Hernandez served as interim Assistant Dean of Admissions at the University of North Texas (UNT) at Dallas College of La.Prior to his tenure at the UNT Law, which began in 2021, Hernandez served as Director of Marketing with Advertising Avenue, Director of Enrollment Management with Florida Atlantic University and Assistant Director of Admissions at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law. He also served in recruitment roles at the University of California Berkeley, Arizona State University and NASA.

A proud veteran, Hernandez served eight years in the U.S. Marine Corps rising to the rank of corporal.

Fluent in Spanish, he earned a master’s degree in Leadership from Nova Southeastern University and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in English.
