Biography

Dr. Patrice Carter serves as an Adjunct Professor at Campbell University, teaching courses in business communications and critical thinking, strategic management, and healthcare management, at the undergraduate level. Dr. Carter earned her Bachelor of Science in Management from Fayetteville State University, and a Master of Science in Health Administration from Central Michigan University. She also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University, and most recently in 2006, earned a Doctorate of Philosophy from the School of Business and Technology at Capella University.

Dr. Carter has worked as an Adjunct Professor at numerous colleges and universities throughout the area, including Methodist University, Fayetteville State University, and Durham Technical Community College. In addition to her duties as a Professor, Dr. Carter is the President and Owner of PJS Consulting Concepts, where she works as a Christian Life Coach, a motivational speaker, and an author. She works with clients to help them to develop personally and professionally, and speaks to organizations, colleges and universities to empower others to live life with excellence, vision and success.

Additionally, Dr. Carter provides business coaching services, and professional advice on process and service improvements and change management. Further, she has extensive knowledge related to the field of healthcare management, having served in positions at Cape Fear Valley Health Systems, Humana Military Health Services/Tricare, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and Womack Army Medical Center.
