Rebecca Yakel

Biography

Rebecca Yakel (she/her) is a proud double alumna of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Counseling. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC-A) in North Carolina and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).

Rebecca is passionate about working with college students and the emerging adulthood population, helping them navigate their transition to college and fostering their academic, personal, and professional success. She employs a person-centered and solution-focused approach, integrating cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy in her practice. Rebecca believes in meeting her students where they are in their mental health journey and equipping them with practical skills to apply beyond the therapeutic setting.
