Richard A. Waugaman, III, joined the Campbell Law School faculty in July 2021 after nine years in private practice. He is the Director of the Gailor Family Law Litigation Clinic which provides legal representation for disadvantaged members of the Wake County community on a variety of family law issues.
Prior to Campbell Law, Waugaman was the managing partner at Lesnik Family Law – a boutique Wake County firm providing family law representation and legal services predominantly to victims of domestic violence. He handled child custody, child support, spousal support, equitable distribution, domestic violence protective orders, termination of parental rights, and other family law cases. He is also a former certified Family Financial Mediator by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission and a Parenting Coordinator.
He received his J.D. (’12) cum laude and his B.A. (’09) summa cum laude from Campbell University.
