Biography

Robin Gordon was named Assistant Athletics Director of Development in July 2024.

Gordon joined the Fighting Camels athletics department after having served as the University’s Director of Annual Giving since May of 2022.

In her new position, Gordon will manage the Fighting Camel Club Annual Fund and assist the advancement program in fundraising efforts for the athletic department.

In her role with the university, Gordon led the university team responsible for producing the 2022 Campbell Giving Day fundraising video that would go on to be awarded the highest honor at the CASE Circle of Excellence Awards. The video highlighted the different areas on campus gifts support and touched on the multiple ways donors could give.

583 institutions across 22 countries entered the CASE awards in 2022, with Campbell’s video receiving “grand gold” honors. Gordon’s work and leadership proved effective, as the 2022 Giving Day set single-day records with 2,262 gifts and commitments totaling more than $2 million.

A native of San Francisco, Calif., Gordon began her career as a journalist on the west coast. After spending time as a beat reporter and magazine writer, she became an editor for a northern California news group.

Gordon received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from San Francisco State University.

She lives in Holly Springs with her two children, Charlotte and Colin, and their French bulldog Bodhi. She enjoys cooking and doing yoga, and traveling the world when time permits.
