Biography

Rev. Dr. Sarah Boberg serves as the Assistant Professor of Christian Education at the Divinity School. She also serves as the Director of Empowering Families for Spiritual Formation, a Lilly Endowment Parenting and Caregiving Initiative.

Rev. Dr. Boberg graduated from Campbell University with a B.A. in Religion and Christian Ministries and a Master of Divinity degree. She completed her Ph.D. in Educational Studies with a concentration in Cultural Foundations at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her dissertation research focused on the call experiences of Baptist women in ministry.

Her passion is making ideas of Christian scripture, theology, and history accessible to all believers. She believes the keys to Christian education include preparation and flexibility.

She servedas the Minister of Children and Spiritual Formation at Ox Hill Baptist Church in Chantilly, VA before beginning as a full-time professor at Campbell. Before serving at Ox Hill she served 12 years as the Minister of Youth and Children at First Baptist Church in Red Springs, NC.

Sarah is married to Rev. Bradley Boberg who serves as the Senior Pastor of Ox Hill Baptist Church. She has two beautiful daughters, Scarlet and Lydia. In her free time, Sarah enjoys music, dancing, spending time with her family and vacations to Disney World.
