Biography

Sarah Wade, MLS, AHIP, is one of two Medical Librarians at the Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine at Campbell University. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in History Education from Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, North Carolina and her Master of Library Science from North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC.

She is a member of North Carolina Library Association (NCLA), American Library Association (ALA), Association of Colleges and Research Libraries (ACRL) Medical Library Association (MLA), Mid-Atlantic Chapter of MLA, and the Association of North Carolina Health and Sciences Librarians (ANCHASL). As a member of MLA, she serves on the MLA Education Steering Committee where she is the liaison to the New Health Sciences Education Task Force, Nursing and Allied Health Resources and Services (NAHRS) Essential Nursing Resources list update task force, immediate past-chair of NAHRS, the ANCHASL Social Media Editor and secretary, and the co-chair for the ACRL Health Sciences Interest Group Membership, Recruitment, and Retention Committee.

Sarah and her husband Paul, who is a field technician for Flowserve in Garner, NC, live in Holly Springs, NC with their daughter, Caroline, and doghter, Emma. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at home with her husband and daughter, reading, playing with Emma, and spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
