Dr. Mallard Barnes received her BSW from NC State University, her MSW from UNC-Chapel Hill with a concentration in Human Services Administration, and her PhD in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. Her areas of interest include food insecurity, homelessness, poverty, and social justice. Dr. Mallard Barnes teaches the social welfare history and policy courses, advises the Campbell Social Work Club, and supervises students on Study Abroad to Costa Rica.
